Restorative Massage

Massage therapy can help to restore your sense of well being through a variety of techniques and tools. At Vision Ridge Wellness I specialize in helping people recover from car accidents or other injuries. Through a blend of manual therapy techniques I create a plan that will help you find a new state of health. I have specific training in orthopedic massage which is a blend of myofascial massage, deep tissue and Swedish massage techniques. I use a variety of tools as well to speed up the recovery process. Tools that may be included in your massage are aromatherapy, hot packs, hot stones, microcurrent, cupping or the Myobuddy myofascial massage tool.

I also provide deep relaxation massage as a way to help people maintain or restore their sense of well being. This is massage designed to provide your nervous system with an environment where you can relax and let go of stress. Massage therapy at Vision Ridge Wellness will be an experience you will be pleased to recall anytime you need to once again let go and restore a bit of peace in your life again. I am very focused on making sure that the massage is comfortable and adjusted to your needs. Boundaries are an important part of a solid relationship and I strive to understand your needs before your massage begins so that you can have the best experience possible. The current “buzz words” used to describe what I provide are a trauma-informed environment, yet this approach is comforting to anyone looking to relax. Essential oils and high quality products are included with your massage. I use a variety of Cryoderm’s pain relieving products, Magnesium Calming Cream being my top “go to” product for recovery.

Mindfulness Coaching

Mindfulness Coaching is centered on understanding your body’s response to all of the life events you have experienced. We mindfully approach the current state of your life and determine if there are areas you’d like to see change. Awareness is the first and most important tool that is used in this therapy. As a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner I will lead you through experiences that unlock unconscious patterns that surprisingly we have stored in different places within our visual field. You may have noticed a time when you were describing a story from the past and you realize that you are staring off “into space” as you remember the event. This is the building block of brainspotting (BSP). Within the coaching sessions we will work on noticing who you have been, who you are today and begin to visualize who you would like to become in the future. We will work on body awareness as it is connected to your subconscious and often will send out signals to you about what you need if you stay in awareness.

I have experience working with clients of all ages in coaching. I especially enjoy working with children in coaching as I get to use my 12 years of experience as a teacher and leader with children in a variety of settings. I also have experience helping people leave abusive situations, divorce, and a variety of transitional life decisions. Brainspotting and coaching can be used for major life changes, but also small ones like “I always wanted to ________________ , but something seems to keep me from changing and I don’t know why.”
